Throwback Thursday – Mount Leinster Rangers

This week’s throwback is one which is a little closer to home for most of us here at Daniel Whelan Engineering Works Ltd. Mount Leinster Rangers are a club rooted in Carlow GAA history and a club known nationwide for their performances in the Leinster and All Ireland Club Championships.

A club with a very proud tradition and history and of course a local club of Daniel Whelan Engineering Works Ltd. The Club represents a tremendous sense of community, a togetherness that can only be found in circles such as the GAA. We were delighted to work alongside Mount Leinster Rangers regarding their Astro Turf Training Facilities.

As a local club it’s always great to see club’s moving forward and progressing, not only in competitions but also regarding facilities. The facilities were not just wanted, given the growth and dedication within the club at all ages – the facilities were needed and Daniel Whelan Engineering Works were more than happy to provide these services.

In the below gallery you will be able to see the completed work of Daniel Whelan Engineering with Mount Leinster Rangers. You can see in the photos from the official opening night the amazing sense of community on the night. A large crowd gathered to celebrate the club’s expansion and new facilities but what cannot be seen in the photos is the atmosphere of the night.

The night was attended by men, women and children from all across Borris as well as representatives from Carlow GAA. On the night it was great to see how much the work we had done for Mount Leinster Rangers actually meant to the entire community – for a company that was founded and began its journey in Borris it was amazing to see the impact we could have on an entire community.

Having been proudly based in Borris since 1928., working alongside Rangers in the development of their new facilities has been very special for Daniel Whelan Engineering as a company. To be able to lend our knowledge and expertise to a local club and see exactly what it means has been a thoroughly enjoyable experience for all of us at Daniel Whelan Engineering.
