As one of Ireland’s premier suppliers of steelwork Daniel Whelan Engineering Works Ltd is delighted to announce that it has gained CE certification (EN1090-1) for the fabrication of Structural Steel products with the leading certification body BM Trada.

Daniel Whelan Engineering Works Ltd was formed in 1972 and is a recognised specialist in Architectural and Structural Steelwork including Balconies, Balustrades, and Stairs etc. in addition to Fencing Systems, Waste Handling Equipment and Agricultural Products.

This harmonised European standard effectively means that anyone who produces structural steelwork including balconies and balustrades which form a structural part of any building and is not accredited to the relevant audited EN1090-1 class is in breach of the law with the obvious consequences.

Additional advantages of CE certification include the introduction of a Factory Production Control System which will allow all aspects of the company to benefit from improved quality and monitoring of production.

Following a recent investment in new workshop equipment and CE certification the company is now ideally placed to meet its customers’ needs in the ever more challenging market both at home and beyond.
