Daniel Whelan Engineering and the Business Picnic 2018

This year Daniel Whelan Engineering Works Limited attended the Business Picnic in the Arboretum, Leighlinbridge, Carlow. The day is designed as an almost informal networking event and encourages those in business in Carlow to meet and connect, sharing different viewpoints, ideas and stories down the years on all things business related.

First and foremost, the Arboretum provided an amazing backdrop for this event, as always the venue was the perfect setting for what was an enjoyable evening. On the day speakers such as Rachel Doyle, Sean Gallagher, Niall Kelly, Conal O’Boyle and David Wright all graced the stage and spoke about their life and ventures in the world of business to date.

The reason we have attended the business picnic the last two year’s is not only to gain insight from all those who speak but also to engage with and learn from local business and those in different industries. As a company we have always stood strong with our dedication to the principles of service and quality and sharing how we do this as well as learning how others achieve this is always interesting and beneficial going forward.

This year saw a focus on innovation in business, which is something we are familiar with at Daniel Whelan Engineering Works Ltd. Our constant innovation has led to the development of our most recent divisions, Fencing and Waste and Material Handling alongside the expansion of our locations with offices now open in Galway and Cork.

Having the chance to connect with so many local business and hearing some amazing stories of success throughout the years was a great way to spend the evening, a fantastic event and a great chance to network. In the last 2 years the event has grown from strength to strength and we are excited to see where we are in 2019 when we re-visit the business picnic next year.
